Manchester Museum and the Department of Public Health in FBMH in partnership with the Climate Psychology Alliance are hosting a series of Climate Cafés at the University to share our feelings about the climate crisis. Continue reading to find out more…

What is a Climate Café?

A climate café is a safe space to share our feelings about the climate crisis – a thinking and feeling space, a haven from busyness and activity. We do this because sharing feelings in a supportive setting helps to build our resilience during this confusing and difficult time. The café is organised by the Department of Public Health and supported by the Climate Psychology Alliance.

It’s a café, not a therapy group, a meeting with facilitators to talk about what our changing climate means for us. No guest speakers, no lectures, no advice, no commitment, an action-free space.

The principles for Climate Café:

Climate Café dates organised by the Department of Public Health in FBMH:

Climate Café

Friday, 27 October 2023 at 12:00 BST

Room 2.050A Stopford Building

Register via Eventbrite

Climate Café

Friday, 24 November 2023 at 12:00 BST

Room 2.050A Stopford Building

Eventbrite

Climate Café

Friday, 26 January 2024 at 12:00 BST

Room 2.050A Stopford Building

Register via Eventbrite

Climate cafes organised by Manchester Museum:

In-person events running every 2 months from 6 Dec 2023 onwards – 17:30 – 19:00

Register via Eventbrite

To find out more about Environmental Sustainability: visit the Faculty’s intranet page, website or contact srbmh@manchester.ac.uk.
