From 8<\/span>th<\/span> April to 9<\/span>th<\/span> May, the Faculty will mark <\/span>S<\/span>ustainability Action Month<\/span><\/a> with a vibrant series of events dedicated to enhancing our understanding of the climate crisis and promoting sustainable practices.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Find out below how you can get involved:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Week One (8 \u2013 14 April): The Climate Crisis<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Kicking off the month, we engaged in enlightening discussions on climate change, eco-influencing, biodiversity, and textile waste reduction. Participants shared insights, learned from each other, and contributed to shaping a greener future.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Week Two (15 \u2013 21 April): Reduce, Reuse, Recycle<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We delved into the <\/span>6R project<\/span><\/a> – Review, Reduce, Reuse, Refill, Replace, and Recycle. Engaging with our champions, participants learned about proper recycling techniques and sustainable plastic management, making a collective effort to make a difference.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Week Three (22 \u2013 28 April): Nurturing Nature<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Next<\/span> we will explore the natural beauty of our campus with the Michael Smith Quad BioBlitz (25 April). We will identify flora and fauna using the <\/span>iNaturalist app<\/span><\/a> and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts. Together, let’s celebrate and protect our environment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Week Four (29 April \u2013 9 May): Sustainable Living<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We will end the month with the <\/span>FBMH Active Staff Travel Breakfast<\/span><\/a> (7 May). Whether you walk, run, or cycle to work, join us for a complimentary breakfast and connect with like-minded individuals committed to sustainable living.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Throughout the month, you can participate in workshops, discussions, and interactive sessions designed to empower you to integrate sustainability into your daily life.
