HCRI’s first foray into free online education will come to fruition next Monday 16 June, as the Global Health and Humanitarianism course begins for the first time.<\/p>\n

Delivered via learning platform Coursera, the MOOC (massive open online course) will run for 6 weeks between 16 June and 28 July. The course will introduce students to the concept of a “global health” agenda, how NGOs aim to overcome inequalities in public health and how this activity is shaped by political theory. The course is built around a series of interviews with leading humanitarian practitioners Dr Rony Brauman (HCRI Director, President of Medecins Sans Frontires 1982-1994), Professor Tony Redmond OBE (Chairman of UK-Med, HCRI Professor of Emergency Medicine) and Professor Mukesh Kapila CBE (HCRI Professor of Global Health and Humanitarian Affairs, Under Secretary of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies 2010-2012).\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
