Young People in Humanitarianism Conference (22nd May 2026)<\/h5>\n

HCRI hosted its annual youth conference, welcoming students from four local high schools for a simulation exercise about disaster preparedness and response.<\/p>\n

The event \u2013 titled the \u2018Great Fire of Manchester\u2019 \u2013 explored resilience, disaster response, and simulated challenges during post-disaster aid distribution.<\/p>\n

Disease X: Moving from Global Failure to Global Readiness, 13th May 2026<\/h5>\n

On 13th May, HCRI hosted Kate Kelland to discuss the themes of her book – Disease X: The 100 Days Mission to End Pandemics.<\/em>\u00a0Kate is Chief Scientific Writer of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI).<\/p>\n
