Celebrate your registers! Collaboration: Collaboration with other biologics registers
The BSRBR-RA is one of four biologics registers run by the British Society for Rheumatology:Â Â Â
- BSRBR-RA (University of Manchester)Â
- UK JIA Biologics Register (University of Manchester)Â Â
- Psoriatic Arthritis Register (University of Aberdeen)Â Â
- Ankylosing spondylitis (University of Aberdeen)Â
Recruitment
Recruitment is ongoing in all registers, except for the AS register.  Â
Research
The BSR registers work closely together to ensure that methods and objectives are aligned, as well as looking at similar areas of research. For example, the BSRBR-RA research study analysed the outcomes of switching from originator to biosimilar therapy within the RA group in 2023. This was then also analysed in the JIA register a year later. Reassuringly, results were similar across the two studies, showing that switching between these two types of therapy was well tolerated. Â
