Talking about suicide and psychosis: what is the evidence for implementing psychological interventions?

In this seminar Professor Gillian Haddock, Head of the Division of Psychology and Mental Health, discussed suicide risk in individuals with psychosis, potential pathways to suicidal behaviour in people with psychosis, and the recommendations for psychological treatments for these individuals.

She also discussed the challenges of preventing suicide in inpatient settings, barriers to providing psychological therapy in these settings, and the findings from trials on suicide at The University of Manchester and Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH).
