Survivors inspire me. Those who have faced the unthinking and not only survive but thrive. They continue to fight for what they believe in. The strength of heart and drive in survivors surpasses the greatest superpower. Their strength inspires me to keep fighting for what I know is right. If they can do it, in spite of all they’ve faced – we all can. And we all should. Survivors come in all shapes all sizes – modern day slavery survivors, cancer survivors, fire survivors, holocaust survivors…they are the world’s most impressive heroes, and their stories light my fire – inspire me day after day to study and research the things I am passionate about so I am amply equipped to make the world a better place than I found it. And to make a true difference in the lives of those who weren’t blessed with the opportunities I was.
