After finished high school, I was offered a scholarship to pursue my first degree in Japan. It was a twinning program; 2 years in Malaysia + 3 years in Japan. During the first 2 years, we need to learn Japanese Language and Sciences subjects. We were also taught about Japanese culture. I still remember the time we discussed about Nobel Prize in one of our class. Our Japanese lecturer looked so excited and enthusiastic explaining about it. He told us that in October every year, whole Japan will be eager to find out who is the Noble Prize winner for that year, even the kids! In Japan, we spent our final degree year in the lab working on our final year research project. Everyone was so passionate talking and doing research. I can feel the love towards research in the air, and I guess it inspired me!
