April 2019- Research in Imagery and Observation (RIO)
Ellen, Jude and Hayley attended the annual RIO group conference which was hosted at Teesside University on 25th-26th April. The conference featured research presentations discussing motor imagery and action observation across a range of different fields including psychology, sport and rehabilitation. Members of the BEAM lab presented the latest findings of our Parkinson’s research. This included poster presentations on predictive eye movements, dance and an intervention to improve functional actions, as well as a talk from Jude on imitation in Parkinson’s. The meeting provided an opportunity for researchers from different stages in their academic career to share and generate new ideas and was an enjoyable two days.
