Although Ellen and Emma have been collaborating since 2002, the BEAM lab became an “official” entity in 2012. To celebrate 10 years of the BEAM lab we invited friends and colleagues to share memories, research talks and new adventures.

The afternoon started with an introduction by Emma and Ellen on the origins of the BEAM lab, followed by talks from former lab members Dan Poole, Stacey Humphries and Alexis Makin and current lab member Leneh Buckle. Cake and coffee were enjoyed and the afternoon was finished off with a journal club style presentation from former lab member Tony Hall on the clay hand illusion.  We then headed to Milk and Honey cafe for some food and drinks.
