We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to join our sessions at the BSR’s Rheumatology conference. Held between 24th – 26th April 2024 at the ACC in Liverpool, this conference promises a wide variety of talks across all aspects of rheumatology and rheumatology research. We are pleased to be involved in the following sessions and would love for you to come and join:

 

Wednesday 24th April:

Rheumatoid Arthritis Oral Abstracts

9am – 10.30am (Ms Tian’s talk is at 10-10.15am), Room 1b

“Potential impact of European Medicines Agency measures to minimise risk of serious side effects with JAKi on those using JAK inhibitors in the UK” Ms Zixing Tian

 

Friday 26th April:

BSR Registers – The State of Play
9am – 10.30am, Room 11.

This session will provide a retrospective on the positive impact that the RA, PsA and JIA registers have had on clinical practice over the last 20+ years, giving examples from NICE, BSR Guidelines, product labelling & regulators as well as looking forward with future plans for the research studies. We are delighted to welcome Clare Jacklin, CEO of the patient organisation National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) and will discuss the patient perspective and the impact the registers have had on individuals living with these conditions. Finally, the process for accessing registry data for your own analyses will be outlined.

This event is not just about celebrating achievements of the registers over the last 20+ years, but also a chance to meet members of the teams who work with the study at sites across the country. We would love to see you there, please do drop in and say hello!

 

Outside the sessions:

Beyond the above scheduled sessions, BSR’s Rheumatology Conference provides ample opportunities for networking and discussion with the team. If you want to chat about recruitment at your site, how you might be able to identify potential participants, or gain some tips on how to use our bespoke database please do come to the BSR stand during break times and look for a member of BSRBR-RA staff. If you want to use the conference as an opportunity for an in-person meeting with the BSRBR-RA team, please get in touch and a time can be arranged.
