PhD student Libby recently attended and presented a flash talk at the North West Universities R day at the Manchester Technology Centre. It was a day filled with guest speakers including Andy Field and Robin Lovelace who gave talks on how they are using the programming package R and about its future directions. There were a number of flash talks highlighting aspects of R that may not be known to everyone. In the evening there were a number of workshops to improve R skills from leading professionals in both academia and business. All in all it was a fun day to attend and be a part of.
