Experimental Psychology Society Stirling meeting July 2022
Isaac Duncan-Cross who had an Experimental Psychology Society Graduate Research Bursary to work with us last summer, describes the EPS Stirling meeting (July 2022).
This was my first in person conference and going in I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The quality and range of the talks meant that every one was a learning experience: whether this was trying to grasp the basics of an unfamiliar topic (theories of sequential reading) or hearing new debates around familiar areas (should we change how we measure the rubber hand illusion?). The poster session also provided a great opportunity to discuss people’s work at a more personal level and I was shocked to win the student poster prize. Even outside of the academia, the cèilidh dancing and the beautiful scenery alone made the trip worthwhile.
