Celebrating Environmental Sustainability in the Faculty with the ES Good Newsletter

The University’s Our Sustainable Futures Strategy outlines our commitment to embedding environmentally sustainable (ES) practices within all our teaching, learning, research and operational activities over the next five years, aligning our actions with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One of our core goals is engagement, providing our staff, students and our communities the support and opportunities to actively contribute to our mission towards a more sustainable future.  Here in FBMH, so many of our staff and students are involved in and leading sustainable initiatives.

We wanted to create a platform to recognise and share the hard work of our community, with the hopes of inspiring others to join the sustainable revolution. We introduced the Environmental Sustainability (ES) Good Newsletter in June 2023, a quarterly email featuring ES news stories, events; funding and involvement opportunities, and more from the Faculty and beyond. The newsletter is aptly titled to uplift and inspire, aiming to highlight our collective efforts to address the climate crisis.

Read all the editions of the newsletter to date: Feb 2024, October 23, June 23.

If you’d like to share your ES content and stories through the newsletter, please email srbmh@manchester.ac.uk with the relevant information.

To keep up to date with the latest ES news within the University and beyond, email srbmh@manchester.ac.uk to be added to the mailing list.
