by | 4 Sep 2024 | Disability | 0 comments

As part of our commitment to creating an inclusive digital environment, the IT Services Directorate, in collaboration with the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Directorate, has invested in comprehensive role-based accessibility training provided by AbilityNet, a renowned leader in accessibility services. The training empowers our staff with the knowledge and tools needed to ensure our digital platforms are accessible to all.

The training caters to various roles, including content authors, designers, developers, testers, project leads, policymakers, and more. Training includes a range of resources such as video workshops, PowerPoint slides, and Portable Document Format (PDF) guidelines. These materials focus on integrating accessibility throughout the development and procurement of digital content, projects, and business-as-usual activity, ensuring compliance with UK accessibility standards.

By participating in this training, staff members will gain practical insights into embedding accessibility into their workflows, contributing to a more inclusive online experience for everyone in our University community.
