HCRI’s work recognised by The British Academy
The British Academy acknowledges HCRI’s work in its paper looking at funding priorities in science, research and innovation.
The challenges facing society today require expertise drawn from across the full range of humanities, social sciences and sciences
Addressing the challenges of international emergencies and crises is recognised as a key challenge that plainly requires such multidisciplinary research and HCRI is highlighted as an example of good practice
For example, the  Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute at The University of Manchester bridges the Faculties of Humanities and Medicine in partnership with NGOs, and aims to help lead improvements in crisis-response on a global scale.
