I intercalated after my 4th year of Medicine.

Where are you studying your medical degree?

Liverpool University

Why did you choose to intercalate onto the iBSc Global Health?

I chose to intercalate in Global Health at the University of Manchester because I was extremely interested in current issues surrounding humanitarian aid and health care in low resource settings after my elective in Sri Lanka.

What has been your highlight of the course so far?

The highlight of the course so far has been the amazing guest lectures that come to speak to us on a range of global health issues.

How would you like to use what you’ve learnt from the iBSc Global Health course in future?

I know that the knowledge I’ve gained this year I will take forward with me to influence my future career in medicine and help me to decide which areas that I would like to work in.

What is your favourite thing about Manchester?

My favourite thing about Manchester has been how lovely and welcoming all the staff and other students on the course have been.
