HCRI has celebrated the graduation of it’s first PhD students from the PhD in Humanitarian and Conflict Response programme, Dr Obi Ojimiwe and Dr Mateja Celestina.

Looking back on her experiences at HCRI, Mateja concluded that it had been “extremely positive, especially due to the support I have received and for being integrated into HCRIs activities from the very beginning.” Mateja will be taking up a Research Associate post at the University of Coventry.

“Overall I have had a pleasant experience at HCRI” Obi explained, “I will recommend it to anyone considering a future in the academia.”

We are very proud of Mateja and Obi’s success and their hardwork and intellectual integrity has set the bar very high for what an ideal PhD student should be. Everyone at HCRI wishes them the very best for their future projects.
